Steps to Apply for an In-School Private Student Loan

The following steps are required to complete a private student loan application:

• Borrowers complete the loan application via our easy-to-use Online Application
  • If applying with a Cosigner, Cosigners are invited to complete their portion separately
• Borrowers and Cosigners will be required to upload documents for review/verification of information provided
• Signing of Promissory Note by Borrower and Cosigner
• Lender review of loan application to determine if the loan application may be approved
  • If approved, Borrower will be required to accept the loan via the Loan Approval Disclosure in the Borrower Portal (Borrowers are notified via email when to log in to complete this step)
• If approved, a notification will be sent to school to certify Borrower’s enrollment. We will facilitate this step and notify the Borrower when it has been completed by the school.
• Funds will be sent directly to the school to complete the loan application
• Borrowers will be notified by the lender/loan servicers when payments will begin, based on the repayment option selected during the application process
